Questions are the most important means of education for children, and Millie, the heroine of the novel "Lost in Australia", is not much different from other children. One day, she finds the dog Rambo dead, so she writes his name at the top of a list of dead creatures. This list soon includes twenty-eight creatures, including her father. "Millie soon notices that everything around her is dying. Insects, oranges, ornamental trees, houses, letter boxes, trains, candles, old people, young people, middle-aged people..." And so, dead creatures follow one another in front of her, filling the "Book of the Dead", waiting for answers to questions that puzzled her. When the answers did not convince her, she resorted to her older schoolmates, then school books, in search of the big secret behind those "dead creatures"?!
