Professor Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Amri has over 35 years of experience in seismology and geology. He was a professor and head of the Department of Geology and Geophysics at King Saud University, Riyadh, and supervises the Center for Seismic Studies. He is president of the Saudi Society for Earth Sciences and a principal investigator in 13 international working groups. Al-Amri founded the Arab Journal of Geological Sciences and focuses on earthquake mechanics, groundwater exploration, and geothermal energy. He established Saudi Arabia's first digital geological encyclopedia in 2024. He has published over 220 research papers, completed 60 research projects, and authored numerous educational materials, including 30 educational books and 5 scientific encyclopedias. He has received multiple awards for his contributions.
